Klaas Otto and girlfriend are not allowed to enter their house after an attack for a month

Klaas Otto and his girlfriend Gracia receive a restraining order of at least a month following the attack on their home in Den Bosch on Saturday night. The house on the Stapelen will also be locked for this period. This is what the mayor of Den Bosch, Jack Mikkers, says, although he does not mention the names of the residents.

It was the second time this week that there was an explosion at a house in the Maaspoort district. At the first attack, the police already suspected that the actual target was Gracia’s home. She is Klaas Otto’s girlfriend and both have criminal pasts.

The Bossche mayor calls the second attack brutal and shocking. “After the first explosion, extra cameras were placed in the neighborhood to prevent a second attack. That has proved insufficient. The perpetrators know that they were filmed and yet had the guts to strike again.”

Made a mistake
Jack Mikkers does not want to confirm that the residents who receive a restraining order are Klaas Otto and his girlfriend. “It’s up to the police to make statements about that.” Last week, police suspected that the attackers may have made a mistake. That is why extra cameras have been installed as a precaution. Both houses have the same house number (34).

A few days ago, the police placed a camera column in the two streets. A statement from the municipality shows that it plans to leave it until at least 14 August. The decision will be officially announced on Monday.

Second attack on house Stacken
It is the second time that the house on the Stapelen has been the target of an attack. In 2017, the house was riddled with bullets. They were then intended for the then partner of the resident who also has a criminal past. The man, Faysal L., was then given a three-month restraining order and he was not allowed to enter the house during that time.

Police are still investigating whether there is a connection between this week’s attacks. Mayor Mikkers can imagine that local residents have already made that connection for a long time. “Two attacks in the same neighborhood at houses with the same house numbers does indeed sound like a mistake was made the first time.”

Horrible for neighborhood and city
By imposing an area ban on Klaas Otto, the former top man of motorcycle club No Surrender, and his girlfriend for at least a month, the mayor hopes to restore peace and safety. “This week, people have been startled by an explosion twice at night. That is terrible for the neighborhood but also the city. We do not tolerate behavior that causes disruption, fear and unrest for other residents as has happened now.”
