The emergency team breaks down Kitty Kat’s apartment door
“It was half past seven, my friend Christian and I were still in bed. Suddenly there was a loud bang because they had broken down our apartment door. “I thought I wasn’t seeing properly,” the 42-year-old told “Bild” on December 30th. According to them, a police unit was behind the operation on the morning of December 27th.
The reason for this, according to her statement: Her boyfriend was allegedly suspected of counterfeiting money. According to her, the police arrested her partner, allegedly took him to the station and searched Kitty Kat’s apartment. For the artist, whose real name is Katharina Löwel, it was clear: “The accusation is total nonsense, my boyfriend doesn’t counterfeit money.” She told “Bild”: “We actually have a lot of money in the apartment – play money, which we use for music and TikTok videos. For nothing else. It’s a movie prop that Christian ordered from Amazon.”
However, the Berlin woman was not sure why the officers suspected her partner, according to her statement to “Bild”. “We have no idea. A few weeks ago an order for money didn’t arrive. Maybe the order showed up somewhere else and our address was somehow involved.”
The police confirmed to “Bild” the use of the closed unit. According to their statements, they had seized the counterfeit money and had already forwarded the case to the public prosecutor’s office. The boyfriend of the “Be a Hoe/Break a Hoe” interpreter has now reportedly been released. The couple also appears to have hired a criminal defense attorney.
