Top fashion creations owned by Kirsti Paakkanen are for sale at auction.

Auction house Stockholms Auktionsverk Helsinki sell to Marimekko’s former owner, an entrepreneur Kirsti Paakkanen (1929–2021) clothes and accessories.
The selection of The Kirsti Paakkanen Collection I auction includes clothes, bags and shoes from the world’s leading fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Elie Saab and Sonia Rykiel. There are also plenty of Marimekko products.
The auction includes John Galliano’s pioneering 1990s production, Chanel’s Ice Cube bag and three different versions of the Lady Dior bag.
– It is an internationally very high-level collection that represents the best from the world’s most prominent fashion houses. Kirsti Paakkanen chose her clothes with the same sharpness and courage with which she ran her business, says Helena Laaksoan expert at Stockholms Auktionsverk’s Helsinki office, in a press release.
The auction will take place on February 22. The products can be seen at the premises of Stockholms Auktionsverk in Helsinki from February 6.
The auction includes, among other things, three different Lady Dior handbags. The highest price so far has been offered for a black specimen decorated with crystals.
