In an interview, Kingsley Coman grabs his farewell to FC Bayern. He reveals explosive details.
After moving to Al-Nassr, Kingsley Coman commented on his farewell to FC Bayern for the first time. In an interview with the French sports newspaper “L’équipe”, the 29-year-old spoke openly about the last weeks of his time in Munich-and also described internal tensions.
The long -time foreigner reported that there had been discrepancies towards the end of the transfer: “At the end of the transfer, there were some things – which I don’t want to mention – that made the situation complicated. I was not pushed to walk, but I was told that the club was open to a goodbye due to its financial situation.”
The support from trainers, fans and parts of the club management was always noticeable – but Coman also emphasized: “I had the love of the coach, the fans, some people in the club leadership. But not from everyone. Some of the club wanted me to go. And this part dealt very much.”
He left open who the offensive player means by that. However, it is clear that the separation from the German record champion was not without internal friction. Despite everything, the French international looks back on his time at FC Bayern and announced that I will visit the club again: “I will come back to say goodbye because I have spent almost ten years there, and this club is still very important to me.”
Comans career in Munich started in summer 2015 with a loan of Juventus Turin. The Bavarians initially paid seven million euros before committed him in 2017 for a further 21 million euros. In a total of 339 competitive games for the club, the wing player scored 57 goals, including the goal for 1-0 victory against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final 2020.
In the summer of 2025 the move to Saudi Arabia to Al-Nassr followed, where he now plays alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. According to reports, FC Bayern reported around 25 million euros for the transfer.
His achievements are not unnoticed even after the change: France’s national coach Didier Deschamps called him for the upcoming international matches against Azerbaijan and Iceland. Coman sees no surprise – and referred to his long -term career in Europe: “I have played in Europe for ten years and I’ve only been here for a month. You don’t lose your qualities. I am the same player as at Bayern. I will not lose my level in one year either.”
