King Princess covered Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” for Triple J’s “Like a Version” segment. She performed with her band at the Triple-J studio and gave an interview in connection with it.

“It’s a song I’ve heard since I was a little kid,” she said afterwards. “My parents have them [Soundgarden, Anm. d. Red.] ’92 play the Lollapalooza and I think I like to revisit songs that meant a lot to me as a kid and that inspired me to make music.” She also ennobled Soundgarden, the instrumentalization of the song and above all their singer, who died in 2017: “I’m a huge Chris Cornell fan”.
