King Charles gave his long-awaited Christmas speech on Christmas Day.
King Charles’ traditional Christmas speech was seen globally today at 17:00 Finnish time.
In his speech, Charles brought up his illness, diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of the year.
– I want to give a special and heartfelt thank you to the selfless doctors and nurses who have supported me and other family members this year amid the uncertainty and worry caused by illness, and who have exceptionally helped to give us strength, care and comfort, Charles said in a speech recorded in London’s Fitzrovia Hospital Chapel.
Princess of Wales Catherine was diagnosed with cancer in March. In both cases, it has not been stated what kind of cancer it is.

In his speech, Charles also highlighted the numerous riots that have been seen in Britain during the summer and autumn. Charles said he was proud that so many communities in the UK had decided to unite in protest against hate and lawlessness.
_ They did not do so to repeat these behaviors but to correct them. And most importantly, to restore trust by listening and understanding, deciding how to act in the best interest of all, Charles said.
No photographs or anything else related to the British court were seen in the background of the king. It was Charles’s third Christmas speech. In his first Christmas speech in 2022, Charles had his parents the Queen Elizabeth’s and Philip’s photo on the table.
No pictures were seen last year, just like this year too.
It is the first time in more than a decade that the Christmas speech has been filmed elsewhere than at Buckingham Palace or on the grounds of royal estates.
It is thought that the king chose the place in question partly because it has a connection with those working in healthcare.
Televised royal Christmas speeches have been seen in Britain since 1957. At that time, Queen Elizabeth gave the first speech.
The speech was recorded on December 11. PDO
