Kiel and Flensburg are not showing any weaknesses

Defending champions THW Kiel and SG Flensburg-Handewitt have done their homework in the Handball Bundesliga and have stayed close to leaders SC Magdeburg – albeit still at a certain distance.

Kiel won 31:20 (13:14) at SC DHfK Leipzig and, as second in the table, is six minus points behind Magdeburg. Flensburg defeated Frisch Auf Göppingen in their own hall with 26:21 (13:7) and in third place is eight minus points behind the leaders.

In contrast to Kiel (29) and Flensburg (28), Magdeburg has only played 27 of the 34 games of the season and does not have to play a team from the top six in the table. In fourth place, Füchse Berlin, who also only played 27 games, also have a theoretical chance of winning the title.

The most successful throwers for THW Kiel in Leipzig were right winger Niclas Ekberg (8/5) and the Norwegian international Harald Reinkind (6). SG Flensburg-Handewitt had their strongest man against Göppingen in national team captain Johannes Golla on the circle (5) and in defense.
