The 24-year-old man who was abducted on Friday at a parking lot on the Dr. Schaepmanlaan in Breda has reported itself in good health, but the police still want to say little about the kidnapping. The abductors are searched for with man and power. And that is the reason that the police keep their lips together. “We don’t want to make the suspects wiser than they already are.”
The police do not want to say what exactly happened to the man. The abductors are still being searched. “The entire investigation is now aimed at finding the suspects,” says a police spokesperson.
According to the spokesperson, that is the reason that the police want to say little about the kidnapping. “I can imagine that the research team does not want to make the suspects wiser than they already are.”
Criminologist Jasper van der Kemp told Omroep Brabant on Saturday that the police are generally careful with providing information about a kidnapping. Among other things for the privacy of the victim, but also to hinder the investigation as little as possible.
“Doesn’t want to suggest that you know something.”
“As a police, you do not want to suggest that you already know something or not. You release information that you think it can be useful to get tips on that, such as the location and the vehicle,” Van der Kemp said.

What we do know so far is that the 24-year-old man was taken in a van on Friday around midnight by black-clad suspects with balaclavas. The police and relatives were very concerned about man’s health because he is dependent on medication. The police did not want to say what kind of medication it is. “But not taking medication can result in death,” the police emphasized earlier.
“Not taking medication can be deadly.”
The police suspected that it was a targeted action and that the man and kidnappers knew each other. According to witnesses, the suspects would have had firearms with them.
The kidnapping took place at the parking lot at an athletics club and a hockey club. Soon the sports clubs were not related to the kidnapping.
