Kicillof accused that he lacks resources because of the Supreme Court

The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, met with tourists and residents of Villa Gesell in the framework of the summer season. In the meeting, the official stated that his administration lacks financial resources, and blamed the Supreme Court of Justice for this and endorsed the impeachment, whose debate began yesterday in commission.

“In the province there are no schools, hospitals, routes and we came to do them but We need them to return the resources that the Supreme Court took. They have to return the resources to the Province of Buenos Aires,” said Kicillof, referring to the conflict between the government and the court over co-participating funds.

“The Province has 17 million inhabitants and the City of Buenos Aires has 3 million. However, for years it has had 3 times more budget per inhabitant than what the Province has”; Kicillof said. It should be remembered that in December, through a ruling, the Supreme Court of Justice provisionally returned the 2.95 percent of the mass of co-participating funds to the City of Buenos Aires. These funds had been stolen by the national government in 2020, to solve a salary conflict with the Buenos Aires police.

The governor’s statements included the issue of the sentence to the vice president Cristina Kirchnerwho in December was sentenced to 6 years in prison and perpetual disqualification from holding public office for defrauding the State in the Road Cause. “We are in the year in which we celebrate 40 years of democracy and we arrived with proscriptions and prohibitions for Peronism,” Kicillof reflected, adding: “What we have as a task is to break the ban on Cristina.”

He also launched criticism of the opposition, in a clearly campaign tone in keeping with the election year climate. “They have already said what they plan to do if they govern again: they are coming to do the same and faster. They ruled recently and destroyed everything: education, health, production, factories and industries. It is our obligation that our Province remember what they did when they were government”, affirmed the Governor.

Likewise, the economist called on society to “remember and reflect” and stated that his administration will continue to “guarantee health, education, work and production. That is why we talk about the right to the future for all the people of Buenos Aires ”and he finished with a forceful phrase: “Society has to choose between rights or the right”
