Kenyan marathoner The Lokedi of Philemon Kachera has complained about doping, reports, among other things BBC.

According to the BBC, Kacheran’s out-of-competition test found extracorporeal testosterone.

There have been worrying doping news from Kenya recently. Since the beginning of July, Kacheran is the ninth Kenyan to be banned from competition by the decision of the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), which oversees the ethics of athletics.

Kacheran was left out of Kenya’s squad for the Commonwealth Games in August. The 31-year-old Kenyan was initially banned from competition for four years by the AIU, but the ban was reduced by a year due to an early confession and acceptance of sanctions.

Kacheran ran in the Netherlands at the Rotterdam Marathon in eighth place last April. He missed his own record by five minutes. Last December, the Kenyan ran over 42 kilometers in Spain with a record time of 2:05.19.

During the summer, the Kenyan who was famously accused of doping is Lawrence Cheronowho won the Boston and Chicago marathons in 2019.

In 2016, the international anti-doping agency Wada placed Kenya on a separate watch list due to repeated doping violations. The country was even threatened with an international ban seven years ago.
