Kehl worried about BVB goals for the season – Terzic calls for maturity

Sports director Sebastian Kehl has expressed doubts about the further career of Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Cup after the difficult victory against Hannover 96. After reaching the round of 16, the 42-year-old warned that “in today’s form it won’t quite make it to the end”. BVB was anything but in final form with the second division. According to Kehl, the team is always capable of winning a title, “but we have to improve,” he added. The Champions League participant could not be satisfied with the performance against 96.

BVB coach Edin Terzic was not happy with the way the game went and the current form: “We just have to be more mature,” demanded the 39-year-old. It is important not to avoid duels. Terzic spoke of a certain form of “intrinsic motivation that the players want to turn it off themselves” that is missing “in certain phases”. What is needed now is the willingness of the team to want to do things better as quickly as possible and, above all, to eliminate recurring errors. “We talked a lot, but it still happens that the doorbell can ring. Still, it happens that the things we wanted to turn off happen. We’ll address it again,” said the coach, who has scored an average of 1.81 points from 16 games so far.

Before the game on Saturday against VfB Stuttgart (3.30 p.m.), Kehl also expressed concerns about the goals for the season: “We have to learn quickly, we have to get back on track quickly so that we don’t lose sight of our overall goals in the end ‘ said the 42-year-old. “We’ve also shown in the last few weeks that we can do better,” he added.
