It is so far an unprecedented strong European Championship of Dutch talents. In the group stage, the sounding figures were already settled with Germany (3-0), Norway (2-0) and England (4-2). On Monday, a long time followed unilateral duel against Romania, which organizes the European Championship.

In the initial phase, the physically strong Romanians were a tough opponent for the Netherlands, but the resistance broke ten minutes before the end of the first half. Ajax striker Don-Angelo Konadu, who had been making a few minutes in the Amsterdam main force last season, promoted a pass from the Sparta technician Ayoub Oufkir with his shoulder somewhat fortunate as a goal.

Seven minutes later, the top talent Kees Smit, who with his fourth goal of this tournament, doubled the margin. That did the big star this European Championship with a beautiful body -shine movement, with which he provided himself with space and sent several Romanians into the forest. His completion, a hard slider, was decisive.

When both teams visited the dressing room, even a few players from Romania came to express their admiration at Smit, who, despite his stormy development, has indicated that he would like to stay at AZ for another season. That is wise, because the only nineteen -year -old midfielder is not yet a fixed basic player in Alkmaar. Although that is only a matter of time.

Aymen Sliti

Feyenoorder Aymen Sliti, who was also allowed to smell the big work in the Eredivisie last season, shot in the 53one Minute with a dry bang the 3-0 on the scoreboard. The game seemed to be played with that, but the Orange became light after that goal and the Romanians suddenly gave the idea that something was possible again. David Barbu made the connection goal with a changed shot, after which the nerves struck at the Orange. Yet the team held up well.

In the final, the Orange on Thursday Spain under 19, which in a true thriller in the extension of 6-5 (!) Walked with the peers of Germany. That is a different story for the gems of Van der Veen, but given the current form, nothing is impossible for this European Championship.
