Are you not a train spotter yourself and still confused about those abbreviations SLT and DDM? We will not have doubts and give you the redeeming answer. The SLT and the DDM are both trains from NS. SLT stands for Sprinter Lighttrain. According to NS This sprinter is called this because there is a lot of glass in it and so a lot of light comes in.

DDM means double -deck equipment. NS: “It is the first double -decker, with which NS started to ride in 1985. Many more people can enter it than in a regular intercity.”
