Kazakhstan’s new information minister responded to accusations of Russophobia – RBK

The Minister of Information of Kazakhstan Askar Umarov, in response to accusations of Russophobia, which were voiced by the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov, declared his commitment to fraternal relations with neighbors. So Umarov wrote on Facebook, transfers “Sputnik Kazakhstan”.

“Regarding publications regarding demonization of my image. I am not who they are trying to portray me. In all previous positions, I tried to conduct fruitful work with Russian and other partners, ”says Umarov. He also stated that he respects the support that Russia provides to Kazakhstan.

“Once again I want to reaffirm my adherence to the principles of tolerance and friendship of peoples, the unity of the people of Kazakhstan and fraternal relations with neighbors,” Umarov also said. He expressed his readiness to work together “for the common good.”
