The online marketplace of the German food dealer is now also available for customers: Kaufland said on Tuesday. There, more than three million articles from over 6,400 categories are offered – including sports and outdoor, baby and child as well as fashion and accessories.
With this step, the platform also opens for French dealers: inside that can offer their range in the domestic market via Kaufland.fr and in existing markets – Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Austria – and in the future in Italy. 13,000 dealers are currently selling: on the inside of Europe. 2,800 online retailers are already connected to the French marketplace.
“The interest in French and international dealers: The inside is great to offer their products on our new Kaufland marketplace in France,” says Gerald Schönbucher, board member of Kaufland e-commerce.
The aim is to offer customers: a similar range in France as in Germany-45 million articles-and for French retailers: Inside “becoming the top European platform in the country,” continued Schönbucher.
Kaufland drives marketplace expansion
Kaufland started only last year in Austria and Poland, after the dealer, which belongs to the German mixed group of Schwarz-Group, went online in Slovakia and Czech Republic last year. The Italian market should now also follow to France. A launch date is not yet known for the marketplace in Italy.
