Katrin Behrens becomes CEO of the IT subsidiary OSP

The Hamburg trading and services group Otto Group is restructuring the management team of its IT subsidiary Otto Group Solution Provider GmbH (OSP). On Tuesday, the group announced that Katrin Behrens will join the management of OSP on March 1st next year and take over the position of CEO.

In her new role, Behrens, together with current CEO and future co-CEO Stefan Borsutzky, will be responsible for “the further strategic expansion of OSP into the most important technology provider for the Otto Group and the expansion of the technology portfolio,” the group said. Its task is to “prepare OSP strategically and technologically for growth.” Borsutzky should “continue to drive forward the internationalization of the organization in addition to the topics of finance, human resources and sales.”

As part of the personnel reorganization, the previous co-managing director Norbert Gödicke will “continue to contribute his great technical expertise and experience to the development of OSP in the newly created position as Vice President and authorized signatory of Otto Group Solution Provider GmbH and Managing Director of OSP Spain,” explained Group.

Behrens was most recently CTO of the group company Mytoys

Katrin Behrens has been working for the Otto Group since 1997 and has held management positions in various corporate divisions in recent years. The 51-year-old has been a member of the management board of the toy retailer Mytoys as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) since 2022. The company decided to discontinue Mytoys in the spring. The online platform is scheduled to close before Christmas.

Sebastian Klauke, who is responsible for e-commerce, technology, business intelligence and corporate ventures on the Otto Group’s board of directors, explained the personnel decision that has now been announced: “Katrin Behrens is the ideal person for this strategically important role,” he explained in a statement. “With her outstanding technology expertise, her proven experience in transformation processes and her strong leadership skills, she has all the prerequisites to be OSP as a technological partner of the Otto Group together with Dr. “To strengthen and further expand Stefan Borsutzky.”
