Middleton, 41, spoke at length with Sir Paul McCartney, 81, of which the museum hosts a photographic exhibition of personal shots on the early years of the Beatles, 1963-64. The former Beatle was with his wife Nancy and jokingly wondered if she had already been born at the time (his wife is 63 years old, he is from 1959).

The princess was recently accused of practically being one “slackers” and to carry on only commitments not far from their children. It has been calculated that since she became Princess of Wales last September, the Princess has completed “only” 61 institutional events, 18 of which were completed close to home.

She has been given the unflattering title of Princess of Slough, iinspired by the Berkshire town, famous for being the location of the original series of The Office, created by British comedian Ricky Gervais.
