It had probably never happened in the history of the English monarchy that a princess apologized.
After weeks of silence, on Mother’s Day, which is celebrated in Great Britain on March 10, the world breathed a sigh of relief in seeing that Kensington Palace had released a photo of Kate Middleton smiling with her three children.
But analyzing the image was enough to trigger a new embarrassment at court. The news agencies in fact withdrew the photograph after noticing ua misaligned cuff, a zipper that stops for no reason and verdant plants despite the English frost of recent weeks.

The many suspicious retouches
In spreading the image on social media, Kate Middleton thanked her fans for the support they gave her. But it didn’t take long for them to arrive from social media the first suspicions: one of Charlotte’s knees seems different from the other, the zipper of the little girl’s sweater inexplicably breaks, and one of her cuffs is misaligned with the rest of the shirt.

Little Louis’ hands are positioned strangely and one of the fingers does not seem to follow the line of the others. One of George’s forearms seems too long and Kate is missing her wedding ring, which she never removes.
But the “surprises” don’t end there. The mistakes that Kate’s assistants missed they also affect the background: a tile and a window appear somewhat edited and the plants behind the princess are far too green for this time of year. The photo was advertised as new, but is it perhaps a collage of old images?

The embarrassing withdrawal of the photo
Taken by Prince William, the photo was officially approved by Kensington Palace, the home of the Princes of Wales’ offices. However, within a few hours, and considering the many irregularities noted in the image, international agencies such as the Reuters they immediately decided to withdraw it from their archives. The suspicion of manipulation is too strong, those responsible justified themselves. But they refused to comment at court.
Irreparable damage to Kate Middleton’s reputation
The obvious manipulations of the photo achieved the opposite effect and now raise doubts the true state of health of the Princess of Wales. In fact, it is not the first time that the princess has been accused of having distributed an edited photo: last December, the official Christmas card of the Wales raised suspicions of having been retouched. And this time, just weeks later, the damage to Kate Middleton’s image and reputation could be irreparable.
