Kate Middleton, all her royal looks in Jamaica

S.thrilling Kate Middleton! For the first gala in Jamaica he recalled Vivien Leigh, the protagonist of Gone With the Wind. The ensemble, with bodice and fluffy tulle skirt, was signed by Jenny Packam, as we know, one of her reference designers. The jewels are very precious: the earrings and the bracelet worn are part of the cQueen Elizabeth’s personal collection, the Queens Emerald Parure. Pinned to his chest was the Royal Victorian Order brooch. Obviously the color was a tribute to the Jamaican flag.

Kate Middleton, lady in yellow

Kate Middleton, the lady in yellow. She was the brilliant (and amazing) Duchess of Cambridge upon her arrival in Jamaica. In Kingston presented with a Roksanda lemon yellow bespoke which actually looked very good on her thanks to her brown hair. With side bow on the right shoulder, the midi dress seemed the best way to say goodbye to the country (yellow is one of the colors of the flag). For the Dukes of Cambridge, yes it is the fourth day of the visit of a tour that will last eight in all. The couple will also visit the Bahamas as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth. But let’s review all of her looks.

Middleton has therefore arrived in Jamaica in yellow to which he combined a series of neutral accessories, in white: a Ferragamo clutch and Aquazurra sandals. Then, for a reggae night, she wore a vintage dress Willow Hilson Vintage that took up the colors of the country. With Prince William they “played” percussion on the sidelines of a visit to Trench Town Culture Yard Museum where Bob Marley performed.

There was no lack of protests

“Princes and princesses belong to fairy tales, not Jamaica”. Even in this country, the Dukes of Cambridge were not welcomed in the best way, exactly as happened in Belize. The colonial past “weighs” and many locals have welcomed them with signs and demonstrations asking for compensation for the treatment suffered. Buckingham Palace is of course not responding. Kate and William smile and make a good face.

Kate Middleton, Lara Croft version

Of all the looks, surely the most successful is the incredible yellow outfit. But, in general, according to the “diplomacy of the sheath dress”the choice was dictated above all by the colors of the flag; her stilyst Natasha Archer was very attentive to host countries. And the vintage sundress was a tribute to the colors of Jamaica. Kate, visiting the Mayan ruins of Belize, also improvised Lara Croft in military cargo pants, at least according to her fans who set out to look for similarities with Angelina Jolie, the face of the heroine in the famous film.

Kate greeted Belize with a vintage red Yves Saint Laurent jacket (which he bought while studying at the University of St Andrews) and white pants (a bit like Jackie Kennedy). Nothing was left to chance in this first post-pandemic royal tour.

White business suit

For an event at the Spanish Town Hospital she opted for a “working royal” look: an ice white Alexander McQueen trouser suit with a Ridley London bow shirt. Not the best possible match, but definitely a fresh outfit in line with Jamaican colors. In this, we repeat, Middleton has really dosed itself: every single appearance was a tribute to the host country.
