Kate hands over tennis trophy in this striking outfit

How many people do you know who – especially at the beginning of the summer, with only a minimal tan left on their skin – get away with a brightly colored, canary yellow dress? We not much. Duchess Kate pulled it off during the Wimbledon final, which took place in London this weekend.

Old but gold

After the pot between Elena Rybakina and Tunisian Ons Jabeur, Kate presented the winner’s trophy to the former on the Center Court of Wimbledon. She pulled out an ‘oldie’ for this occasion; a bright yellow Roksanda dress that hits below the knee. You may remember it from earlier this year in Jamaica, when the Duchess took a royal tour of the Caribbean with her husband. She paired her elegant ensemble at Wimbledon with a white clutch and matching pumps with gold detail.

Beautiful yellow is not ugly

The observant viewer will have noticed that Kate already chose a yellow dress for the third time during the famous tennis tournament – completely in sync with the balls on the field. Do you remember the dress below from 2018

Not for the first time

It is not the first time that Kate has been able to delight a winner of the grand slam tournament with a gold cup; in 2019 it was the Serbian Novak Djokovic who was allowed to take it from her.
