Kate Bush posted a message on her website days after Robbie Coltrane’s death on October 14. In it, Bush expresses her sadness at the death of her boyfriend and talks about the collaboration for the music video for her 2011 reworked song “Deeper Understanding”, first released on her album THE SENSUAL WORLD (1989).

Robbie Coltrane also appeared in the music video for Kate Bush’s Deeper Understanding (2011). Bush writes about the collaboration: “I am very grateful that he agreed to be part of my video at the time.” She continues: “It was incredibly exciting to watch him work and to be surrounded by such profound intelligence and comedy. Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane, known from the “Harry Potter” film series and several “James Bond” films, died on October 14, 2022 at the age of 72.
