Kat Lolo is finally back after 5 days thanks to a rescue operation with the fire brigade, thermal imaging camera and drone

After five days, the Hoorn cat Lolo was found. The rescue operation involved the fire brigade, a thermal imaging camera and drone. Lolo is doing well and is now back home.

After being missing for five days, cat Lolo was spotted on a Hoorn roof this afternoon. The fire brigade was called in with an aerial platform to remove the cat from the roof. Once the firefighter got to the roof, the cat jumped off the roof with his own hands.

The cat then fled away. Several people from the area helped search, including a press photographer with a drone who arrived on the scene. The fire brigade also used all possible resources and assisted in the search with a thermal imaging camera.

After a while, the cat was spotted in a backyard, where the owner rushed to the spot. Yet the cat once again broke into a run.

Three times is a charm, as it turned out: during a third attempt the cat got caught. Her owner got a wet suit because of this. Kat Lolo is now doing well and is back home safely.
