Karlsruher SC extends top scorer Fabian Schleusener’s contract

17 goal contributions in 2022/23

Top scorer Fabian Schleusener will stay with Karlsruher SC beyond the summer. The 31-year-old extended his working paper by two more years until June 30, 2025. The second division club officially announced this on Thursday.

“We are very happy that we can continue to build on Fabian Schleusener. He proves week after week how important he is to our game. But not only on the field, but also off the field, he is an important figurehead and is now a true face of our club,” said sporting director Oliver Kreuzer.

Schleusener came to KSC on a free transfer from 1. FC Nürnberg in the summer of 2021, having already completed the 2017/18 season on loan with the Badeners: “I am delighted to have extended my contract with KSC. The club has become my home and I want to play many more games here. I would like to thank my coaching team and Oliver Kreuzer for the trust they have in me and I hope to be able to repay it with many goals,” he said. In the current season, the attacker has scored eleven goals and six assists in 23 games, more than any other professional in Christian Eichner’s team (to the statistics).
