In 2023, the hotel was the presidential campaign headquarters. Karina, “The Boss”, managed everything: purple chairs for interviews, meetings with Santiago Caputo and Guillermo Francos. The runoff made it the official bunker of the LLA, and this legislative victory reinforces its mystique. Javier, in his speech, calmed internal tensions: “To the two colossi, architects of this miracle: Santiago Caputo and Karina Milei”, alluding to the clash between the two for control of the project, with Martín Menem and Sebastián Pareja as Karina’s bishops.
Elsztain, leader of IRSA (56.7% of Libertador via Cresud) and owner of almost one million hectares, is a key actor. He supported Milei in 2023, hosting him for free at the hotel (with an expenditure of USD 35,000) and accompanying him at events such as the inauguration and a trip to New York. His influence includes an IRSA executive in the AABE, which manages state assets. His career, from the ’90s with Menem to his investments in mining and shopping malls, positions him as an influential businessman.
Roxana Cozzo, the Libertador’s former banquet manager, is close to Karina. It organized events in 2023 and crypto forums in 2024, some linked to the controversial LIBRA cryptocurrency. Today, she is Karina’s assistant at Casa Rosada and maintains ties with the hotel. Together with Mara Gorini, former Macrista and organizer of events such as the one at the Movistar Arena, he is part of Karina’s circle of trust. The Liberator, revitalized by LLA, remains a symbol. Karina’s phrase, “It’s almost ours now,” reflects her weight in the libertarian project.
