In one of Kanye West’s numerous posts on X, he now accused Taylor Swift that she was one of the reasons why he has never appeared at the Super Bowl.
In the meantime, the post has been deleted again. But as “TMZ” reports, according to West there would be three reasons why he was never allowed to perform during the half-time break of the football tournament. “I was never allowed to appear at the Super Bowl because of three moments. George Bush is not interested in black people. The moment of the Taylor Swift movement. Wearing a Maga hat,” it says. He also explained that he was “ahead of his time”.
Why Swifties are probably not YE fans
Taylor Swift and Kanye West have been getting together again and again in recent years. So Ye interrupted the musician at the MTV Music Awards in 2009 during her acceptance speech and explained that in his opinion the award should have actually been going to Beyoncé. A few years later, in 2016, Ye published the song “Famous”. In the track he raps: “I feel like me and Taylor Might Still have sex / why? I made that bitch famous.” (“I have the feeling that I and Taylor still have sex / why? I made this bitch famous.”) Kanye West claimed at the time that Taylor Swift gave him her permission to call her on the song “Bitch”. However, the now 35-year-old denied this and even warned in advance to publish a song with a misogynic message.
Earlier statement on live television
With the first reason, which Kanye called West, he probably refers to an earlier statement from him: in 2005 he said at a television show for a donation marathon to support the victims of the Hurrican Katrina that the then president Bush did not seem about black people. The reactions to West words were different at the time.
Especially while Donald Trump’s first term as president, pictures kept circulating the round, on which Kanye West wore a cap with the inscription “Make America Great Again” (Maga for short). During a visit to the Oval Office, he explained once: “When I put on this hat, I somehow feel like Superman.” At that time, some of his fans criticized the support he showed towards Trump.
Larger scandals
In the deleted post, the 47-year-old also explained that the three reasons took place before he “fully became a Nazi”.
Kanye West ensures new controversy almost weekly this year. He repeatedly posts polarizing and often anti -Semitic statements on X. The anti-Semitism allegations also came after actions such as the sale of T-shirts with swastika or because of its lyrics of the new albums Bully and WW3.
