Kanye West was recently suspended from Instagram for 24 hours because of his hate speech. Now follows the next consequence for his currently unpredictable behavior. The rapper can’t perform at this year’s Grammy Awards as planned.

Kanye West aka Ye has five chances to win one of the coveted trophies at this year’s Grammy Awards. His album DONDA has been nominated for “Album of the Year” and his track “Jail” for Best Rap Song, among other things. Furthermore, a live performance by the rapper should have taken place on April 3rd.

But because of Yes’s “disturbing behavior on the internet”, the responsible Recording Grammy Academy has now decided to cancel the rapper’s performance. The rapper The Game said that in a statement on Instagram last Saturday. He wrote: “The Grammys have decided at the last minute to [Kanye West] pulled off the show like we didn’t know it was coming.”

The Game, who also features on West’s new single “Eazy,” condemned the Grammy Academy’s decision and believes the decision was racially motivated. The exclusion is a “continued disrespect for us and everything we’ve brought to the table in entertainment, media and sport over the past 100 years. In this country, if you speak your mind for yourself, your family, or your people, you will be immediately ostracized. If you push them hard enough, they will stop at nothing to try and take you down as a whole.”

Actually, West should have performed at this year’s Grammys alongside artists such as Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, BTS, Lil Nas X, among others. At the moment he is only booked for the Coachella festival as a headliner. The Recording Grammy Academy has not issued a specific statement on West’s exclusion.
