Kanye West can do civil, too.

Where is DONDA 2? That’s what fans are wondering after Kanye West’s album was announced for February 22nd. Originally, like most releases, it was supposed to come out at midnight. Kanye West has missed a number of release dates throughout his career. But did he have to fix technical problems in this case first? The record was not supposed to be released on the usual streaming services as usual, but exclusively on his own exclusive stem player.
One fan wrote indignantly, “It’s 10:22pm and you still haven’t released #DONDA2, how many 2s have to be aligned before you can release it!”
It’s 22:22 in ?? and ye still hasn’t dropped #DONDA2how many more 2s need to be aligned so ye can drop yo!?

Other fans used the waiting time more creatively and created some memes, among other things:

West announced on Instagram on Feb. 17 that his new album will only be available on the Stem player. According to the rapper, he wants to free himself from the “oppressive system” of the music industry. Even before the planned release, West announced that DONDA 2 had already grossed 1.3 million US dollars. “Anyone who supports our revolution changes the game for all artists. We don’t have to bow down to people who don’t even really care about music anymore,” West wrote in a now-deleted post. West has not revealed when the album will actually be released.
