Stopped the rally on Saturday Grégoire Munster got involved again. The Ford driver was the first to attack the opening stretch of the morning and rewarded the spectators with a handsome spin.
The drivers of the hot group, who set off in reverse order of superiority, almost consistently beat the base time.
Sami Pajari undercut him by the one who had gone before by Thierry Neuville I run by almost two seconds.
– Just fine. Now that didn’t feel perfect. It was quite slippery in many places. Maybe not the best, but I still tried to drive just fine, Pajari explained.
However, the greatest interest was directed at the roasters at the top by Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperän for a duel.
The Finn reached the track three minutes before his teammate. It meant that the advantage Ogier enjoyed on Friday in better conditions was eliminated.
And that, in turn, was immediately visible on the watch.
Rovanperä drove a fantastic bottom time and left Ogier by no less than 1.3 seconds. The Finn now took the top spot in the overall competition by 0.7 seconds.
– Now it’s a completely different game when we go after others. There is more dirt on the road. The next section is really difficult, when the weather is mixed in, Rovanperä pointed to the threat of rain on the Czech side of the border.
– It’s a long day ahead. It’s an okay clip. It’s not easy today when we’re behind.
EK10 starts at 11.35.
