Against Hertha BSC, Kaiserslautern presents itself ice cold and ripped off. As a reward, the “red devils” draw the same with the leader.

The 1. FC Kaiserslautern can continue to score in the fight for the promotion places of the 2nd Bundesliga. At Hertha BSC, the Lauterer celebrated a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday evening. The Berlin hosts actually presented themselves over long distances than the more active and better team, but the “red devils” were more ripped off. In the 57th minute, the Berlin defense Luca Strich gave too much space on the edge of the penalty area. He could not be asked twice and turned dryly to the left to the winning goal.

Due to the three points, Kaiserslautern is now in second place with 38 points with leader HSV. Cologne in third place, however, could pass again against Schalke with a draw on Sunday. Meanwhile, the crisis intensifies for Hertha. The Berliners suffered the third defeat in a row and were only in 13th place with 25 points.

For the first time this season, Fabian Reese was in the Berlin starting eleven. The wing player was the assistant with the home side and failed twice in the first half due to Lautern’s keeper Julian Krahl. The capital club had more of the game after a confident start of the guests. The Palatinate withdrew, Marius Gersbeck was almost unemployed in Berlin’s goal. Only Ragnar Ache had two good degrees.

Hertha remained dominant even after the break, but always acted too complicated in the opposing penalty area. The tour for Kaiserslautern fell out of nowhere. Then the Berliners waned and Reeses rarely found a buyer.
