National player Kai Havertz becomes the match winner in the London city duel against his former club Chelsea. After a long injury break, he scores a decisive goal.

German international Kai Havertz shot Arsenal into the League Cup final with a late goal. In the 1-0 win against his former club Chelsea FC, the 26-year-old once again demonstrated his returning form after a long injury break.

Arsenal had already won the first leg 3-2. Havertz’s goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time finally made the team’s place in the final perfect. The DFB star came on as a substitute during the game and decided the game, even though Chelsea had previously had an advantage.

After his serious knee injury, which kept him out of action for several months, Havertz was recently able to impress in the Champions League. He scored one goal and one assist in the 3-2 win over Kairat Almaty at the end of January. National coach Julian Nagelsmann should be happy to note Havertz’s upturn in form with a view to the World Cup this year.

In the League Cup final, Arsenal will face the winner of the game between Manchester City and Newcastle United on March 22nd. Coach Pep Guardiola’s team won the first leg away 2-0.
