On Monday, the Otto Group announced that Kai Havekost will take over the post of Managing Director Finance (CFO) at the Bonprix Group on March 1st next year. He follows Kai Heck in this function. The latter “had already left his resignation at the end of the 2025/26 (February 28, 2026) for a long time” and “retired at the age of mid -60,” said the group.
Havekost moved to the Otto Group in 2014
His successor was found within the group of companies. Havekost came to the Otto Group in 2014 as a Division Manager Corporate Finance Strategy. He has been a Vice President Corporate Finance since 2020, and in 2023 he also took responsibility for the areas Group Audit & Group risk, data protection and M&A. “In addition, he was responsible for various strategic projects, including not least the takeover of the ABOUT YOU SE and Co. KG by Zalando SE in the summer of this year,” said the group.
Havekost is an “extremely experienced financial expert” who, before his time at Otto, “had already worked in various financial functions at commercial banks at home and abroad” before his time.
