Käärijä, who finished second in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, will be seen in August at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, when he warms up to Kaija Koota, who has been dubbed the queen of Finnish pop music.

Kaija Koo’s Superstadion concert in question is her only appearance this year.

According to Warner’s press release, Kaija Koo is very excited to have Käärijä, who has been driving the Finnish people wild.

– It is a pleasure to have the victorious Käärijä as a guest at the Olympic Stadium. This became a double Super folk festival. Welcome! Kaija Koo rejoices in the announcement.

Käärijä’s longer performance could also be enjoyed last weekend at the Helsinki Ice Hall, where he had a sold-out gig. His verse Cha Cha Cha gasped no less than twice during the concert.

Kaija Koo has sold more than half a million albums in her career, won the award for female soloist of the year three times at the Emma gala, participated in two seasons of Only Life and last fall she was Jenni Vartiainen, Vesala and Ellinoora’s with on the Masters tour.
