Juve, the list of muscle injuries: with Bremer there are 8, missed races

The detail case by case between fatigue, injuries and overloads: one third of the staff has already been hit, an absence and a half of the average for each game. Without considering the traumatic injuries that have so far deprived Allegri di Chiesa and Pogba

Juve players continue to fall like leaves. The injury to the hamstring of the left thigh that will stop Gleison Bremer for three weeks updates the meter of Juventus’ seasonal injuries. And if there is often little to add to those of a traumatic nature, those of a muscular nature lend themselves to many more discussions – especially on the goodness of the physical work done. That with the Brazilian they reach eight players hit, practically a third of the squad, in just two months of the season. Out of range.

WHO ELSE IS IN THE BOX

In addition to the Brazilian currently in the pits there are Mattia De Sciglio, for an injury to the rectus femoris of the right thigh that has already kept him out for three games, and Angel Di Maria, now for an injury to the hamstring of the right thigh that at the moment he missed a game, but he had already missed four between August and September due to an adductor injury in his left thigh. Fideo had never had a frequency of injuries of this type in his career.

THE ROSARY OF THE STOP

Before them it was already the turn of Tek Szczesny, who for muscular reasons (without considering the subsequent ankle injury) missed two games in August: injury to the adductor longus of the left thigh. To Leonardo Bonucci, out of three games at the end of August due to flexor fatigue. To Manuel Locatelli, out of three games in September due to muscle strain. To Adrien Rabiot, out three games in the same period due to an overload in the soleus of the left calf. And again in the heart of September to Alex Sandro, two games of stoppage due to an adductor problem.

PULLING THE SUMS

Putting together the troubles of all eight in these two months we arrive at 21 games missed due to injuries of a muscle nature out of 14 games played, an average of one and a half absences per game. Bearing in mind that De Sciglio will most likely miss another match (with Empoli), Di Maria at least three others (Empoli, Benfica and Lecce) and Bremer at least four others (Empoli, Benfica, Lecce and Psg), we will reach 29 races of absence, even in the desirable case in which no other injuries are added.

THE OVERVIEW

Then there is the other track, that of injuries of a traumatic nature that involved Weston McKennie (shoulder in preseason, zero missed games), Paul Pogba and Marley Aké in addition to the previous stops of Kaio Jorge and Federico Chiesa. Considering only the French and the blue, there would be (are) another 28 games of total absence so far. But at least their streak looks close to completion.
