“Juventus is pleased to announce the arrival of Darren Burgess who will play the role of Director of Performance, collaborating in close contact with Damien Comolli, Giorgio Chiellini, François Modesto, Igor Tudor and with all the technical areas and all the age groups of the club, to form a high -level team dedicated to promoting excellence in the performance, innovation and well -being. Darren is recognized and esteemed as one of the most important performance managers in the world, and brings with it over 25 years of international experience in sports leadership.

The salient stages of his career are represented by the work carried out on the prevention of accidents, the supervision of the medical and performance department in all its aspects – fitness, nutrition, rehabilitation, psychology and recovery both in the male and female sphere – and in innovation in the development of talents. During his career, he was successfully engaged both in Europe (at Arsenal, for example, actively working in the prevention of accidents), and out of the continent, including club consultancy in NFL and NBA (his last collaboration is in Australia, with the Adelaide Football Club).

Darren’s academic credentials include a degree in motor sciences achieved at the University of New South Wales, a PhD in the development of talents and a master’s degree in the sports direction (in progress). A very refined speaker, author of sector publications and leader in the development of the culture of operating staff and high performance environments. He is currently consultant to High Performance for Fifpro and sits in the consultative board of Traits Insights, Peaq High Performance and Telos Performance Partners.
