Royalty fan Justine Marcella is paid to report on everything surrounding the royal family, but she now also appears to have some kind of spiritual connection with it. “I feel them.”
Tomorrow on King’s Day, Justine Marcella can enjoy chasing the Oranjes in Dokkum and she is looking forward to it. She is in her column in the Story completely gloating about the day that awaits her, because nowadays she is ‘writing press’ and according to her, that is really of a completely different order than that volatile TV press.
‘You feel them’
It was really different when she was still part of the TV press, says Justine. “In the years that I was still making reports for television, I was always crammed into press boxes on Queen’s Day. That’s what I had to do. Watch quickly, react quickly, hope that you catch that one moment that says something about the atmosphere of the day.”
However, now she is part of press royalty. “Since I belong to the writing press and have been given the label ‘expert’, I can follow the royal family. That is much more fun. You see more. You hear more. You feel better what they feel.”
‘You feel them’
Beautiful, that feeling from Justine. And what exactly does she feel? “The persistent stories that the Oranjes are not really looking forward to King’s Day cannot be true. Anyone who has followed this sees something completely different. They step into a warm bath.”
She concludes enthusiastically: “King’s Day is the day on which the Netherlands really seems to be one whole. Whether you are a republican or a monarchist: I wish you a wonderful day with an Orange sun!”
