On August 29, there were 706 confirmed cases of monkey pox in Belgium. This concerns 376 cases in Flanders (53 percent), 253 cases in Brussels (36 percent) and 77 cases in Wallonia (11 percent). That reports health institute Sciensano. The risk to the general population is still low.
