Ozan Kökcü exchanges Telstar for FC Eindhoven. The 23-year-old midfielder, who played an important role in the team of trainer Mike Snoei in the preparation, still had a contract for one season in Velsen-Zuid. It is expected that Kökcü will sign with the Brabant people tomorrow morning.
Because Kökcü still had an ongoing contract, FC Eindhoven has to deposit a transfer fee. Its height is unknown. The departure of Kökcü is a big loss for Telstar. The midfielder was regarded as a permanent force in the team and also had foreign experience.
Kökcü played for Bursaspor (Turkey), RKC Waalwijk, Giresunspor (Turkey), Sabah FC (Azerbaijan) in the past and came to Telstar at the beginning of 2021. The midfielder played 29 league games last season and scored two goals.
Telstar starts the competition on Monday. The Velsenaren will then visit De Toekomst at 8 p.m. for the match against Jong Ajax.
