Jury in libel case Depp against Heard comes to a decision, verdict will be announced at 9 p.m. Belgian time Lawsuit Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard

After a six-week trial in which Depp and Heard accused each other of domestic violence, the jury deliberated for several days. Wednesday 7.30 pm Belgian time the jury reached a verdict, which will be announced at 9 pm Belgian time. Johnny Depp will be present today at the verdict reading. “Due to previously scheduled work commitments made by the actor before the trial, Mr Depp will not be physically present at the verdict and will be watching from the UK,” a source said.

Johnny Depp accuses his ex-wife Amber Heard of making false statements in a 2018 Washington Post commentary about domestic violence. Depp feels the piece damaged his reputation, causing him to lose roles in the ‘Fantastic Beast’- and ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ movies. For this he is demanding about 50 million dollars (about 46 million euros) in damages. Heard has filed a counter suit for $100 million (approximately 94 million euros).
