Jurgen Klopp’s special memories of Nottingham

After more than six years on the island, Jürgen Klopp is once again entering new territory with Liverpool FC in Nottingham.

“It’s my first time there. I only know Nottingham from my childhood when I watched Robin Hood,” said the Liverpool FC team manager before the top English club’s visit to Nottingham Forest.

On Sunday evening (19:00CET) Liverpool will take on the former European Cup winners in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. Despite all the memories, the concentration in the city is entirely on the game, which Klopp says is “incredibly important”. “We probably don’t have time for sightseeing but we’re still looking forward to it,” said the coach.

Klopp emphasized that his team had to be “mentally and physically” ready for the second division. Because Nottingham has “not had it easy so far”. The underdog eliminated Arsenal and Leicester City in the current competition – Liverpool has been warned.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is missing the Premier League table second in the cup game. The defender will be out for weeks with a hamstring injury.
