According to the statement made by the company, Klopp appeared before the media for the first time since his appointment to Red Bull, at the press conference he held at the “Hangar-7” exhibition area in Salzburg, Austria.
The 57-year-old coach, whose views were included in the statement, stated that he will strive to make the audience feel that they are watching the Red Bull team before they even see the Red Bull logo on the jersey.
Talking about his new position, Klopp said, “My goal is to develop football. To move football forward for our clubs, our players, our talented young people. At the same time, to contribute to football itself.” he said.
Describing himself as a “sports person” above all else, Klopp stated that he is willing to benefit from Red Bull’s extensive experience in many sports and that he looks forward to leaving a long-term impact on the clubs and the global football field.
Klopp said, “This decision is about sports. I have always loved Red Bull’s approach to sports. It is exciting, adventurous and innovative. I wanted to be a part of this team and now I am.” made his assessment.
This was Klopp’s first position after he resigned as Liverpool manager in May 2024. The German coach will offer strategic vision to the Red Bull football network with his experience.

Klopp, who started his coaching career at Germany’s Mainz 05 Club in 2001, managed the UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, Bundesliga, FA Cup, German Cup (DFB-Pokal) and Liverpool during his time coaching Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.
