It has been more than two months since Glennis Grace stormed with her thug at the Jumbo branch in Amsterdam’s Jordaan. The supermarket and all its employees keep their mouths shut, but according to RTL Boulevard journalist Aran Bade, the consequences are still noticeable.

concussion

Aran has mixed feelings about Glennis’ comeback. “At the same time, there is a Jumbo boy now who is finally back to work after a concussion. That’s just the reality right now in the Jordaan. Then this is very harsh. Then you look at this with different eyes, I think.”

He continues: “I have contact with people in the Jordaan. We’ve had that ever since the incident happened. They also say what it feels like to them. They look at this with disgust at the moment. It can also trigger them. They are now also being prepared for this that Glennis is doing this now, because those people are just still angry.”

Hanging legs

Glennis suddenly gives all kinds of interviews full of excuses that feel very insincere. Eddy Zoëy: “Does it feel a bit like she is standing up to the press because she has to sell tickets? What we’re hearing from her tour now is that it’s really not going very well.”

Aran: “No, it’s not going well. It certainly has to do with it. It’s about the BV and the artist Glennis Grace. The chimney must smoke. She wants to continue, but there is an investigation underway at the Public Prosecution Service at the moment.”

‘This is not possible’

Critics believe that Glennis should stay away from the stage until the Public Prosecution Service has ruled on this case. “Can you wait for that at all? I wonder, because that can sometimes take months or years. But I don’t think it’s fair to the victims,” says Aran.

He’s having trouble with her club tour. “I don’t think it’s possible right now that you’re going to do this, because you’re actually packaging that you say: let’s move on. While it still stands still for those people.”

Compassion

The criticism of Glennis is also shared by Shownieuws’ competitors. Show expert Bart Ettekoven thinks that she does not come across well in the interviews she is currently giving. “I do miss the compassion for the people who were injured there, it seems.”

Natacha Harlequin thoughtfully: “I wonder how those people from the Jumbo look at this.”
