Because Aleksandar Pavlović is out
Nagelsmann apparently nominates Stuttgart players

Not only will Julian Nagelsmann have to do without Jamal Musiala, Aleksandar Pavlović will also probably stay at home. A man from Stuttgart is coming along for that.
National coach Julian Nagelsmann apparently has to replan in midfield. As “Bild” reports, Aleksandar Pavlović is out of the international matches against Switzerland (March 27) and Ghana (March 30). This had already been indicated on Saturday. Pavlović missed FC Bayern’s league game against Union Berlin due to hip problems. Sports director Christoph Freund then explained: “We will discuss this calmly. He had complaints and was not in the squad. He played a lot. You have to be careful.”
According to the “Bild” report, national coach Nagelsmann has chosen Angelo Stiller as a replacement for Pavlović. The creative player from VfB Stuttgart was the most prominent name missing from the squad nomination last Thursday. “I don’t see Angelo in the first eleven, so we decided to fill the places behind him differently,” said Nagelsmann, explaining his decision. He preferred to nominate Pascal Groß from Brighton & Hove Albion, whom he described as a “very selfless” and “really good squad player”.
Due to Pavlović’s loss, Stiller now has the chance to audition for the DFB team in the World Cup year. The competition for his position is fierce. In addition to Pavlović, Felix Nmecha (Borussia Dortmund), Leon Goretzka (FC Bayern Munich), Anton Stach (Leeds United) and Pascal Groß are also there.
Stiller would be the fifth VfB Stuttgart player in the DFB squad. VfB is well represented with goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, striker Deniz Undav, right-back Josha Vagnoman and winger Jamie Leweling.
