The journalist Julia Mengolini launched a harsh criticism against Mauricio Macri because of the rumors about his love life after their separation. He did it live, during his program on Futurerockwith a phrase that quickly went viral: “You are a former president, can you not go around making so much nonsense?”
The episode occurred on Monday, February 24, within the framework of the cycle Announced Chronicleduring a segment dedicated to current affairs and entertainment. There, Mengolini reacted to the comments that were circulating about the former president’s alleged affairs and publicly asked him for greater discretion.
In that context, he also compared it with Alberto Fernandezpointing out, between laughter and reproaches: “The worst thing Alberto had was that he went on a shooting spree.” The phrase combined an ironic tone and political criticism, reinforcing his call to avoid unnecessary expositions.
The origin of the commotion: the sayings of Graciela Alfano
Mengolini’s statements came in the midst of a climate already charged by a previous interview by Graciela Alfanopublished in January by The Nation. On a mobile from Punta del Este next to Moria CasanAlfano revealed details about his past relationship with Macri.
Among other statements, he said that the former president wrote to him at dawn, confirmed a clandestine relationship in the nineties and described him as “occurring” in private. His statements generated immediate repercussions and revived media interest in the leader’s private life.
A new rumor: Chloé Bello
In recent days, another name was added to that scenario: Chloe Bello. The model, known for having been a partner of Gustavo Ceratireappeared in versions that link her to Macri.

Among the data that circulated, it was mentioned that Bello is a friend of one of the former president’s daughters, that there is an age difference of almost three decades and that in the past she was also linked – without confirmation – with Marcelo Tinelli.
