Wilderness Guide Aki Huhtanen and his loyal hikers, Äijä-dog, return to the program in the second season. In the opening section, Jukka Hildé’s two bombs, Rex and Bandit, are traveling to the wilderness wilderness.
Until last fall, the family included a third dog, Alaskanhusky Mars. However, it died in November 2024.
The dog’s earthly remnants now go back to Lapland with Jukka. Mars was born of Enontekiö Hetta. Juka’s family adopted an old team dog at the age of 10. At that time it had run a long career, over 25 thousand kilometers.
At the end of the trip, Jukka will be able to fulfill his touching wish that brings tears to the eyes.
-I have the ashes of our 15-year-old Husky, Jukka says on TV.
– It’s such a beautiful idea that some of it would return to the fells here.
Jukka sprinkles Mars’ ashes on TV with his remaining mini -glory. – I am forever grateful to Mars that it was such a cordial dog. General
Together with Aki, there is a suitable place to sprinkle ash. There is a view of the valley over the nipple.
– It runs in a slightly different fells now, Jukka says when sending a loyal friend to the last trip.
When Jukka and Mars met, Jukka was at the intersection in his life. He had returned from the US back to Finland, and Korona had stopped the world. Jukka began to doubt whether he was no longer working for him.
– Life had thrown. It was pretty bad to be, Jukka recalls in the program.
– I saw Mars sitting proudly as a noble and daring dog. It had a tough career behind. There was something that I identified with. I experienced brotherhood.
Mars encouraged his new host to continue, even though his faith was under test.
– I found the spark again. I still got it. I can still, Jukka says.
“Dogs are partly the reason that I am in my mind today,” Jukka says in the program. General
Mars was an important family member for others. It served as an adhesive between everyone.
– Now that Mars is no longer, we remember grateful that we were able to offer it a home where it found a different peace and warmth. It still enjoyed just being able to be and see the kids around and hear joy and joy.
When Jukka sprinkles Mars’ ashes into the beautiful nature, he will finally let go. There is sorrow and distress, but also gratitude. The moment is beautiful.
– It feels really good. Mars is at home.
