According to Swiss sources, the goalkeeper Juha Metsola will move to Kloten next season.

It has been reported in the past that the top goalkeeper has a contract with the KHL team in Ekaterinburg. At the end of April, Avtomobilist Ekaterinburg announced that it had entered into agreements with Metsola, Miro Aaltonen and Jyrki Jokipakan with.

The agreements were reportedly made before Russia invaded Ukraine.

However, Metsola does not plan to play in Russia next season, but is working to terminate its contract with Avtomobilist.

Conditional agreement

According to Iltalehti, Metsola and Kloten have entered into a conditional agreement. According to it, Kloten has set a date by which the Finn must get out of his KHL agreement.

Only when a Tampere resident is free from Russia’s obligations will the agreement become valid.

Metsola is not the only Finnish player to seek to cancel its KHL driver. However, according to the discs, Russian clubs are not very willing to release high-quality foreigners from their contracts.

In the case of Metsola, the worst thing is that Kloten will not wait long for the man to be released, but will look at other options between the poles.

Then one option could be with the Lions aspiring to World Cup success Harri Säteri. Säteri is interested in Switzerland, but reportedly the man is primarily looking at a job from North America for next season.

Säteri ended this season as an Arizona Coyotes player.

Finnish goalkeepers are a tough currency in the wealthy Swiss league.

This spring’s world champion, Olympic winner Jussi Olkinuora has already entered into an agreement with Biel. Olkinuora has an NHL clause in its contract.

The Swiss and Canadian media wrote a couple of weeks ago that Edmonton Oilers fighters Mikko Koskinen will move to the beautiful landscapes of Lugano next season.

Janne Juvonen is a comprehensive contract with Ambri-Piotta for next season.
