Judoka Sanne van Dijke from Heeswijk Dinther has won gold at the Grand Slam of Tbilisi. She defeated Ai Tsunoda in the final by jury decision.
It was already the third international final of the year for Van Dijke. She had to make do with silver in her two previous chances for the gold medal: at a grand slam in Tel Aviv and the European Championship, you know. Dtv News.
The Olympic bronze winner reached the final in her class up to 70 kilograms by getting Ukrainian Chystiakova on her back just before time. Tsunoda received a penalty for passivity in the final in the golden score, so that the final win went to Van Dijke.
