The year 2024 ends with hope for freedom in the social debate. Last week, Mona Keijzer announced that she is going to court for a trial over her statements about anti-Semitism in Islamic culture. Earlier this year, the Public Prosecution Service decided not to prosecute her, but ruled in a confusing dismissal letter that she was guilty of insulting a group. Keijzer does not leave it at that. Not only to clear her name, but also to protect freedom of expression in public debate.
