CVatican City, 24 Dec. (askanews) – Great emotion and anticipation among the faithful in St. Peter’s Square awaiting the opening of the Holy Door at 7pm on December 24th. Tourists and faithful in St. Peter’s Square feel “blessed” and lucky because they can witness a historic event like the Jubilee.
“It’s extraordinary, not just for Rome, but for the whole world,” said Shweta Kohli, a tourist from San Francisco. Others, like the Frenchman Marcel Dembele, express their wishes for next year: “We expect peace, of course. But not peace at any cost.”
