DFB Cup winner Josko Gvardiol will miss the Croatian national team’s Nations League games against Austria, France and Denmark.

This was announced by the Croatian Football Association on Friday. The 20-year-old RB Leipzig central defender is suffering from a muscle injury.

A few weeks ago, Gvardiol won the DFB Cup with Leipzig after beating SC Freiburg in the final. He came on as a substitute seven minutes before the end of extra time.

Croatia will meet Austria in the Nations League on Friday (8:45 p.m.) and France on Monday (8:45 p.m.) in the repeat of the 2018 World Cup final. On June 10th, the reigning runners-up will face Denmark, three days later the second leg against France is on the agenda.
