DFB national player Joshua Kimmich has become a father for the third time. This was confirmed by the management of the midfielder from FC Bayern Munich on Monday to the dpa news agency. The family is doing well, no further details were given. Kimmich received applause from his teammates on Monday morning before the non-public training session.
Most recently, the 27-year-old had given up the international matches against Israel and the Netherlands because of the upcoming birth. Kimmich was there in FC Bayern’s 4-1 win over SC Freiburg on Saturday, which was overshadowed by a mistake. The Munich team will play their quarter-final first leg in the Champions League at Villarreal on Wednesday (9 p.m.).
